The EDAN CX15 is the 15.6-inch flagship model in EDAN‘s CX series—the largest and most capable configuration in the line, positioned for higher-acuity bedside monitoring in intensive care, cardiac care, emergency, and advanced monitoring stations. It shares the same monitoring platform, algorithms, and accessory ecosystem as the CX10 and CX12, but adds the widest Full HD display, 2-channel TEMP as standard, and the broadest optional parameter set in the series, including 2-channel IBP and cardiac output (C.O.).

Standard parameters on the CX15 include 3/5-lead ECG, RESP, EDAN SpO₂, EDAN NIBP, PR, and 2-channel TEMP (T1/T2) , running on EDAN’s iSEAP™ ECG, iFAST™ NIBP, iCUFS™ NIBP, and iMAT™ SpO₂ algorithms. The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen (1920 × 1080) supports gesture operation, supplemented by a rotary knob for alternative control. A fanless cooling design reduces power consumption and dust accumulation, and the enclosure is designed to withstand up to 31 common medical disinfectants.

For expansion, the CX15 accepts optional 6/12-lead ECG, 2-channel IBP, EDAN G2 sidestream CO₂ (with iCARB™ algorithm), cardiac output (C.O.), a thermal printer, built-in Wi-Fi (Wi-Fi 6), and HDMI. Per FDA 510(k) K250179, the CX15 is indicated for monitoring, storing, recording, reviewing, and generating alarms for multiple physiological parameters in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; arrhythmia detection/ST analysis and C.O. are indicated for adult patients specifically.

Data management covers 1,600 NIBP records, 240 hours of trend data, 1,800 alarm events, and 48 hours of full-disclosure waveforms, with Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, and a multifunction interface (nurse call, analog output, defibrillator synchronization) for connectivity. The rechargeable Li-ion battery (5,100 mAh option) supports extended monitoring away from mains power.

The CX15 is built for departments that need the largest display and the broadest parameter depth in the CX series without moving to a modular platform—the same algorithms, accessories, and no-fan architecture, scaled to a 15.6-inch Full HD enclosure for higher-acuity bedside use.

Key Features & Benefits

15.6-Inch Full HD Touchscreen with Gesture Operation

The 15.6-inch color TFT touchscreen delivers 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution—the highest in the CX series—providing a larger viewing area for simultaneous multi-waveform and multi-parameter display. Gesture operation supports direct interaction with displayed parameters and menus, while the rotary knob offers an alternative physical control. Large font, trend, OxyCRG, and full ECG display modes let the clinical team prioritize numerics, waveforms, or historical data depending on the task.

No-Fan Design with Broad Disinfectant Compatibility

The fanless architecture eliminates operating noise and prevents dust from accumulating on internal fan blades and grilles, supporting lower power consumption and reduced dust-related maintenance needs. The enclosure is designed to withstand up to 31 common medical disinfectants, supporting routine wipe-down protocols between patients in ICU, isolation, and high-turnover ward environments.

iSEAP™ ECG: Up to 33 Arrhythmia Types with SEMIP™ Analysis

The iSEAP™ ECG algorithm detects up to 33 arrhythmia types and incorporates SEMIP™ analysis validated by the CSE, MIT, and AHA databases, per EDAN‘s product literature. Multi-level analysis is designed to improve cardiac sensitivity while reducing false alarms. Standard 3/5-lead ECG is expandable to 6/12-lead for broader cardiac evaluation, with arrhythmia/ST analysis indicated for adult patients.

iFAST™ NIBP: Measurement in Approximately 15 Seconds

The iFAST™ algorithm is designed to complete blood pressure measurement in approximately 15 seconds, reducing cuff inflation time during rounds. The iCUFS™ algorithm manages smart adaptive cuff inflation and deflation with cuff size identification. iCUFS™ is intended for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; iFAST™ is intended for adult and pediatric patients (≥3 years of age); both are also indicated for use with pregnant women, including pre-eclamptic patients, with NIBP MAP not applicable to pregnant women.

iMAT™ SpO₂ with Motion and Low-Perfusion Performance

EDAN’s iMAT™ SpO₂ algorithm is engineered for motion resistance and low-perfusion performance, with a Perfusion Index (PI) reference reading that reflects perfusion changes at the sensor site. The CX15 supports simultaneous SpO₂ and NIBP measurement on the same limb, which can simplify setup when access sites are limited.

Optional 2-Channel IBP and Cardiac Output for Hemodynamic Depth

The CX15 supports optional 2-channel invasive blood pressure (IBP) and cardiac output (C.O.) via thermodilution. IBP transducer interface cables are available for BD, Edwards, Hospira/Abbott, Utah, and B.Braun systems, and disposable transducer kits are offered from compatible vendors. C.O. is indicated for adult patients only and requires the appropriate catheter and injection temperature probe accessories.

Optional EDAN G2 Sidestream CO₂ with iCARB™

When configured with the EDAN G2 CO₂ module, the CX15 adds sidestream capnography with the iCARB™ algorithm for intelligent CO₂ pseudo-wave identification, a water trap design, and a sampling rate as low as 50 mL/min. Disposable sampling lines and nasal cannulas are available for adult, pediatric, and neonatal configurations.

Extended Data Storage and Higher-Acuity Connectivity

The CX15 stores 1,600 NIBP records, 240 hours of trend data, 1,800 alarm events, and 48 hours of full-disclosure waveforms. Wi-Fi 6 (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac), HDMI, and a multifunction interface (nurse call, analog output, defibrillator synchronization) support integration with central monitoring stations and hospital networks. Night mode dims the display for low-light ICU environments, and the optional thermal printer provides hard-copy documentation.
