The EDAN iV15 is the 15.6-inch modular patient monitor in EDAN’s iV series—a platform built around plug-and-play XM5 parameter modules, a Full HD anti-glare display, and clinical assistive applications for high-acuity bedside, perioperative, and anesthesia monitoring. Where fixed-configuration monitors lock departments into a single parameter set, the iV15 is designed to be reconfigured as clinical needs change: modules can be added or replaced without replacing the main unit.

The iV15 pairs a 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen (1920 × 1080) with an ultra-wide 170° viewing angle, full-touch gesture operation, and a pure glass flat panel for routine disinfection. The fanless design eliminates operating noise and dust accumulation, and the IP22-rated enclosure supports wipe-down protocols in critical care and surgical environments. A detachable standalone display can be used during patient transport while preserving measurement data and history.

The XM5 module is the parameter acquisition engine for the iV15; the main unit must work with an XM5 module to operate. Available modules cover standard vital signs (ECG, RESP, SpO₂, NIBP, PR, TEMP) alongside advanced hemodynamic, respiratory, and neuro-monitoring parameters: 12-lead ECG, up to 8-channel IBP, cardiac output (C.O.), PresCCO pulse contour analysis, ICG, sidestream or mainstream CO₂, respiratory mechanics (RM), anesthetic gas (AG), BIS, EEG, NMT, rSO₂, and Nellcor SpO₂.

For clinical workflow, the iV15 includes NEWS, NEWS2, MEWS, and PEWS scoring, qSOFA and SOFA sepsis screening tools, Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), and hemodynamic decision-tree and relationship graphics. These are presented as clinical assistive applications—decision-support aids that do not replace clinical judgment. Connectivity covers HL7 for HIS/EMR integration, wired or wireless central station access, mobile station and web observer viewing, and V-Link module pairing with anesthesia machines and ventilators.

The iV15 is built for departments that need modular parameter depth, a large Full HD viewing area, and workflow-oriented clinical tools in a 15-inch-class enclosure—a step up from the iV12 in display size, with the same XM5 module ecosystem and interface logic across the iV series.

Key Features & Benefits

15.6-Inch Full HD Anti-Glare Display with 170° Viewing Angle

The 15.6-inch color TFT touchscreen delivers 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution with an ultra-wide 170° viewing angle, keeping waveforms and numerics readable from multiple positions around the bed or anesthesia machine. Full-touch gesture operation supports direct interaction, and the pure glass flat front panel facilitates routine cleaning between patients. Auto-brightness adjustment adapts the display to ambient lighting conditions.

Modular XM5 Architecture for Configurable Parameter Depth

The iV15 operates with an XM5 parameter module, allowing departments to match the monitor to the clinical environment—standard vital signs for general critical care, or expanded modules for anesthesia, hemodynamics, and neuro-monitoring. The shared XM5 ecosystem across the iV series supports standardization of accessories and workflows across different acuity levels, and modules can be added or replaced without removing the main unit.

Detachable Standalone Display for Transport

The iV15 supports a detachable standalone display that can be used during intra-hospital patient transport while preserving measurement data and history. This allows continuous visualization during movement between the ICU, operating room, and imaging, without losing the monitoring session.

Clinical Assistive Applications: Scoring, Sepsis Tools, and GCS

The iV15 includes a suite of clinical assistive applications intended to support workflow: NEWS, NEWS2, MEWS, and PEWS for early warning scoring; qSOFA and SOFA for sepsis-related organ failure assessment and tracking; Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) for consciousness assessment; and hemodynamic decision-tree and relationship graphics for parameter interpretation. These tools are presented as decision-support aids and do not replace clinical judgment.

Advanced Hemodynamic and Anesthesia Modules

The iV15 accepts modules for 12-lead ECG, up to 8-channel IBP, cardiac output (C.O.), PresCCO pulse contour continuous cardiac output, ICG, sidestream or mainstream CO₂, respiratory mechanics (RM), anesthetic gas (AG) concentration, BIS, EEG, NMT, and rSO₂. This module breadth allows a single monitor platform to serve CCU, ICU, and operating room environments, from basic arrhythmia surveillance to depth-of-anesthesia and neuromuscular monitoring.

No-Fan Design with IP22-Rated Enclosure

The fanless architecture eliminates operating noise and prevents dust from accumulating on internal fan blades and grilles, supporting use in noise-sensitive ICU and operating room environments. The IP22-rated enclosure provides protection against vertically dripping water and solid objects ≥ 12.5 mm, supporting routine wipe-down between patients.

HL7 / HIS / EMR Connectivity and V-Link Integration

The iV15 supports HL7 protocol for HIS/EMR integration, enabling access to electronic medical records. Central monitoring station (CMS) connection is available via wired or wireless networks, with mobile station and web observer terminals for remote viewing. The V-Link module enables pairing with anesthesia machines and ventilators for integrated data display.

iSEAP™, iFAST™, and iCARB™ Algorithms

EDAN’s monitoring algorithms underpin the iV15’s parameter modules: iSEAP™ ECG for arrhythmia, ST, and QT/QTc analysis; iFAST™ NIBP for rapid cuff measurement; and iCARB™ CO₂ for pseudo-wave identification in sidestream capnography. These algorithms are shared across EDAN’s monitoring platforms, supporting consistency in measurement behavior.
