EDAN UX15 Patient Monitor
EDAN UX15 Patient Monitor
The EDAN UX15 is the 15.6-inch Full HD flagship model in EDAN‘s UX series of bedside patient monitors, sharing the FDA-cleared CX/UX monitoring platform (K250179) with the CX15 and the smaller UX10/UX12. It is positioned for intensive care, cardiac care, emergency departments, operating theatres, and advanced monitoring stations—environments where a large waveform display, the broadest parameter depth, and extended data review are part of daily workflow.
Standard parameters on the UX15 include 3/5-lead ECG, RESP, EDAN SpO₂, EDAN NIBP, PR, and 2-channel TEMP (T1/T2) , running on EDAN’s iSEAP™ ECG, iCUFS™ / iFAST™ NIBP, and iMAT™ SpO₂ algorithms. The 15.6-inch Full HD touchscreen (1920 × 1080) supports gesture operation, supplemented by a rotary knob for alternative control, and can display up to 12 simultaneous waveforms depending on configuration. A fanless cooling design reduces power consumption and dust accumulation, and the enclosure is designed to withstand up to 31 common medical disinfectants.
For expansion, the UX15 accepts optional 6/12-lead ECG, 2-channel IBP, EDAN G2 sidestream CO₂ (with iCARB™ algorithm), and cardiac output (C.O.) , alongside a thermal recorder, built-in Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, and a multifunction interface (nurse call, analog output, defibrillator synchronization). Per FDA 510(k) K250179, the UX15 is indicated for monitoring, storing, recording, reviewing, and generating alarms for multiple physiological parameters in adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients; arrhythmia detection/ST segment analysis and cardiac output (C.O.) are indicated for adult patients specifically; the iFAST™ NIBP algorithm is intended for adults and pediatric patients ≥3 years of age; and the monitor is not intended for MRI environments.
Data management covers 1,600 NIBP records, 240 hours of trend data, 1,800 alarm events, and 48 hours of full-disclosure waveforms, with Wi-Fi 6, HDMI, and USB for connectivity and export. The rechargeable Li-ion battery (5,100 mAh option) supports transport and procedure use away from mains power. The UX15 is built for departments that need the largest Full HD display, the deepest parameter set, and extended trend review in the UX series—the same algorithms, accessories ecosystem, and no-fan architecture, scaled to a 15.6-inch flagship enclosure for higher-acuity bedside monitoring.
Key Features & Benefits
15.6-Inch Full HD Touchscreen with Up to 12 Simultaneous Waveforms
The 15.6-inch color TFT touchscreen delivers 1920 × 1080 Full HD resolution—the largest and highest-resolution display in the UX series—providing ample viewing area for up to 12 simultaneous waveforms depending on configuration. Gesture operation supports direct interaction with displayed parameters and menus, while the rotary knob offers an alternative physical control. Large font, trend, OxyCRG, and full ECG display modes let the clinical team prioritize numerics, waveforms, or historical data depending on the task.
No-Fan Design with Broad Disinfectant Compatibility
The fanless architecture eliminates operating noise and prevents dust from accumulating on internal fan blades and grilles, supporting lower power consumption and reduced dust-related maintenance needs in ICU, isolation, and high-turnover critical care environments. The enclosure is designed to withstand up to 31 common medical disinfectants, supporting routine wipe-down protocols between patients.
iSEAP™ ECG: Up to 33 Arrhythmia Types with SEMIP™ Analysis
The iSEAP™ ECG algorithm detects up to 33 arrhythmia types, and the SEMIP™ ST/QT analysis provides additional diagnostic support. Multi-lead analysis is designed to improve cardiac sensitivity while reducing false alarms. Arrhythmia detection and ST segment analysis are indicated for adult patients only under the cleared indications for use. Standard 3/5-lead ECG is expandable to 6/12-lead for broader cardiac evaluation.
iCUFS™ and iFAST™ NIBP Algorithms
The UX15 supports both iCUFS™ and iFAST™ NIBP algorithms under the cleared indications. iCUFS™ is intended for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, with smart adaptive inflation and deflation. iFAST™ is intended for adult and pediatric patients (≥3 years of age) and is designed to complete measurement in approximately 15 seconds where configured. Both algorithms are also indicated for use with pregnant women, including pre-eclamptic patients; NIBP MAP is not applicable to pregnant women.
iMAT™ SpO₂ with Motion and Low-Perfusion Performance
EDAN’s iMAT™ SpO₂ algorithm is engineered for motion resistance and low-perfusion performance, with a Perfusion Index (PI) reference reading that reflects perfusion changes at the sensor site. The UX15 supports simultaneous SpO₂ and NIBP measurement on the same limb, which can simplify setup when access sites are limited.
Optional 2-Channel IBP, CO₂, and Cardiac Output
The UX15 supports optional 2-channel invasive blood pressure (IBP) , EDAN G2 sidestream CO₂ with the iCARB™ pseudo-wave identification algorithm, and cardiac output (C.O.) via thermodilution. IBP transducer interface cables are available for BD, Edwards, Hospira/Abbott, Utah, and B.Braun systems. C.O. is indicated for adult patients only.
Extended Data Storage, Connectivity, and Transport Battery
The UX15 stores 1,600 NIBP records, 240 hours of trend data, 1,800 alarm events, and 48 hours of full-disclosure waveforms. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5 GHz), HDMI, a multifunction interface (nurse call, analog output, defibrillator synchronization), and 2× USB for data export. Battery options include 2,550 mAh (approximately 3+ hours) and 5,100 mAh (approximately 6+ hours) for transport monitoring away from mains power. The optional 50 mm thermal recorder supports hard-copy documentation at 12.5/25/50 mm/s.
