Product Description

The GHM S6100A‑Basic is a no‑frills, mechanically‑controlled anesthesia workstation designed for high‑volume routine procedures where simplicity, durability, and low cost are paramount. Featuring a 7‑inch color LCD display, mechanical valves, a 4‑tube mechanical flow meter, and a focused set of ventilation modes (VCV, SIMV, and manual), the S6100A‑Basic delivers safe, predictable anesthesia for adult patients. It operates on O₂ and Air only (no N₂O), keeping gas supply simple and safe. With the longest battery backup (≥3 hours) in its class and a large 1.6L absorber, this machine is perfect for small hospitals, ambulatory surgery centers, field hospitals, and training labs.

Key Features

🖥 7″ Colorful TFT LCD Display

Monitor essential ventilation parameters on a clear, easy‑to‑read 7‑inch color screen. The display shows pressure‑time (P‑T) and flow‑time (F‑T) waveforms, along with numeric values for tidal volume, respiratory rate, PEEP, and airway pressures. Simple, non‑touch interface – no complicated menus, no learning curve.

⚙️ All‑Mechanical Gas Delivery

The S6100A‑Basic uses rugged mechanical valve technology and a 4‑tube mechanical flow meter for O₂ and Air. This design eliminates electronic failure points, requires minimal biomedical training to service, and provides consistent, predictable gas delivery. What you dial is what the patient receives – no software, no glitches.

🌬 Focused Ventilation Modes

The machine includes the three most essential modes for routine general anesthesia:

  • IPPV (VCV) – Volume‑controlled ventilation for the vast majority of surgeries

  • A/C (SIPPV) – Assist/Control for patients with spontaneous breathing efforts

  • SIMV – Synchronized intermittent mandatory ventilation for weaning

  • MANUAL – Manual bag ventilation for transport or emergency use

Note: PCV, PSV, and SIGH are not available – keeping operation straightforward and cost‑effective.

📊 Basic Waveform Monitoring

While simplified, the S6100A‑Basic still gives you critical visual feedback:

  • Pressure‑time (P‑T) curve – detect circuit leaks, compliance changes, and airway obstructions

  • Flow‑time (F‑T) curve – monitor inspiratory and expiratory flow patterns

Two waveforms are all you need for routine case management.

🧪 Optional ETCO₂ via External Patient Monitor

The S6100A‑Basic does not have on‑screen capnography. Instead, you can add an ETCO₂ module to your existing patient monitor for +$1,040. This keeps the anesthesia machine simple while still allowing full monitoring capability when needed.

🔋 Industry‑Leading Battery Backup

  • Internal battery  ≥3 hours of backup power (the longest among all GHM models). Ideal for intra‑hospital transport, power outages, or field deployments.

  • Oxygen sensor – continuous inspired O₂ monitoring

  • Y‑OKE – not available (keeps cost down; O₂ and Air use different fittings)

🧰 Practical, Service‑Friendly Design

  • 2 drawers – basic storage for syringes and small supplies

  • 2‑position vaporizer mounting – comes standard with two vaporizers (subtract $500 if only one is needed)

  • ACGO – Auxiliary Common Gas Outlet for auxiliary gas supply

  • Absorber capacity  1.6L (largest in the series) – fewer canister changes during long cases

  • Four swivel castors – easy mobility with manual brakes

  • No top light – reduces cost and complexity

🔌 Simple Power Requirements

Operates on 100‑240V, 50/60Hz with only 41VA input power – extremely energy‑efficient and compatible with any electrical system.

💨 Gas Source: O₂ + AIR Only (No N₂O)

The S6100A‑Basic is configured for O₂ and Air only. Nitrous oxide (N₂O) is not supported. This simplifies gas supply logistics, eliminates the need for N₂O scavenging, and is perfectly adequate for the vast majority of routine procedures where air‑O₂ mixtures are sufficient.
